Chernobyl is a historical drama television miniseries created and written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck. The series a co-production of HBO and Sky UK depicting the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of April 1986 and the unprecedented cleanup efforts that followed. It features an ensemble cast led by Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, Emily Watson, and Paul Ritter. The series premiered in the United States and the United Kingdom on May 6–7, 2019 and was acclaimed by critics.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this. I thought maybe it might be a bit...harrowing I guess. Then I saw it has a 9.6 rating on IMDB and thought 'I can't miss this!'. Glad I watched it, very good TV. I don't know I'd go 9.6/10 good, but a strong 8 or 9 out of 10.

Interesting all the actors speak in English, some of the text is English, some of it Russian. I often wonder how close these things are to reality, you get the impression this is pretty close.

Busy watching it now might be one of the most unsettling shows Ive watch but also at the same time I'm enjoying it.On 'Inside the episode' they mention how Emily Watson's character was made up,she's basically a representation of all the scientists that tried to help out .

loved the depiction of death by extreme exposure to radiation...i.e your body liquifies from the inside

also loved the red and blue card explanation in the final episode...made me wish id paid attention to science at school
