The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
What a performance by Jayden Daniels tonight against the Bengals nothing seemed to phase him
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
I'm so annoyed. I set the game to record and was watching until about the end of the 1st Qtr, then it lept to the last minute of the game, for some reason. I went to watch the highlights on YouTube instead. Wow, where did all that come from?! I don't want to get my hopes too high, too early. RG3 gave hope, but JD looks a better passer than RG3 was, with similar legs, if not better.
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
Yeah I would say RG3 was the better athlete, but Daniels is the better pure passer, main thing he needs to do I think is to avoid taking hit when scramling (something that he never could do in college), I've seen Lamar comps but to me his playing style is closer to Josh Allen/Jalen Hurts where he's willing to chuck it deep down field, and like Josh willing to run to defenders, Lamar's strengths has always been throwing to the middle of the field.
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
This is a little mind-boggling -
Jayden Daniels has had 2 career NFL games where his team scored on EVERY drive except knee downs. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, & Patrick Mahomes combined to do that TWICE in their entire careers including the playoffs (1,094 starts)
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
Not bad company to be in, has to be early favorite for ROTY (between him or Malik Nabers, but it usually goes to the QB)
Re: The 2024/5 NFL Season Thread
Absolutely wild that this is happening but it makes sense when you factor in just how much control Bill wants over running a team, which is something NFL teams were not willing to give him (Atlanta Falcons)
